Living with mental illness is a daily battle with your own mind. It’s not as simple as just feeling low or sad. You can have good days and bad days.
Each night I take in a deep breath, smile to myself and think I did it, I got through another day. For me, trying to take each day as it comes helps my mind to be calmer and focused on getting well.
Finding your feet again after a break down isn’t easy, it’s draining and takes a lot of effort. It’s especially hard when you feel your stuck in a cycle of, managing to gain control of your health then months later falling apart again.
My two beautiful children and my puppy Leo give me the motivation and strength to carry on fighting, so no matter how many times I may get knocked down, il always get back up again!
Quite a few of them ring true for me especially the emotional distance and cancelling plans, since I dont find the build up and planning difficult. Just the execution. For the emotional distance every day I disconnected and depressed in a weird bubble of my own not knowing how to completly escape. Anyway I wish you all the best in life π

Thank you for your comment, sorry to hear your struggling too. I did a post a while back on working towards a plan and not a feeling. Iβm still trying to use this idea but it isnβt easy. I will re-share the blog, have a read and see if might help π
