I had a bit of wobble on Friday, felt overwhelmed and low. I had a night out planned on the Saturday and really didn’t feel like going anymore. Come Saturday though i remembered my CBT skills of working to a plan not a feeling (I’ve previously wrote a post with more details on this CBT skill Break the cycle!! ) so I picked myself back up, slapped on some makeup, curled my hair and went to my first gig “the coral” …… I let my hair down, danced my feet off and had a right laugh. It was a brilliant night!
Work to a plan not a feeling ✔️
It’s ok to have a wobble but it’s important to pick yourself back up and carry on fighting 👌🏻
Very good post and great idea. Like the phrase.

Work to a plan not a feeling. Great words! CBT changed my life. I was always choosing the wrong relationships and finally got to the bottom of it with CBT. Wish it hadn’t taken me 50 years to figure THAT out but oh well! 😏

I really liked your thinking within this blog. Yes I can relate, sometimes you just feel like not being bothered, but nice to look at it this way and follow a plan. Plus you had a great night out… so good on you!
